Useful tips for depositors

  1. Check the selected credit institution Make sure that the credit institution in which you are going to make a deposit is a participant in the deposit and savings insurance system and has a membership certificate in the Deposit and Savings Insurance Fund of Tajikistan. To do this, you can go to the official website of the Fund at the following link and find credit institutions in the list of Fund participants.
  2. Check the details of the deposit agreement Carefully check the correct spelling of your name, passport details, TIN, telephone number and postal address in the deposit and/or savings agreement, always inform the credit institution of changes – this will allow you to be easily found among the depositors when paying insurance compensation.Check with the credit institution about the insurance of your funds in the Deposit and Savings Insurance Fund of Tajikistan.
  3. Remember that in the event of an insured event, compensation is not paid for the following deposits and savings:

— deposits and savings obtained by criminal means or seized by the court;

— deposits and savings that, according to the conclusion of the National Bank of Tajikistan, contributed to the deterioration of the financial position of the credit institution;

— deposits and savings of related (affiliated) persons of the credit institution, as well as persons who were considered as such during the last year before the liquidation of the credit institution;

— deposits and savings of partners of the audit firm who were involved as auditors of the credit institution in the calendar year preceding the date of occurrence of the insured event;

— deposits and savings of persons owning more than five percent of the shares of the credit institution on a beneficial basis;

— deposits and savings placed in foreign branches of the credit institution;

— deposits and savings in the amount of any outstanding debt of the depositor to the credit institution;

— deposits and savings of less than 10 somonis.

  1. Do not worry and remember If an insured event occurs, come to receive insurance compensation at any time convenient for you — you have a year to do this. If possible, do not rush to receive insurance on the first day of payments

— there may be queues. At the request of the depositor, the Fund may extend the period for the depositor to apply for compensation under the following circumstances:

— if the depositor suffers from a physical or mental disability and is unable to apply for compensation on time;

— in emergency cases that prevented the depositor from applying for compensation.
