Insured Events in Credit Institutions – Members of the Fund

According to Article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Insurance of Physical Persons’ Savings”, an insured event is the forced liquidation of a credit institution by a court decision, not on grounds of bankruptcy or on grounds of bankruptcy in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Liquidation of Credit Institutions”, as a result of which the Deposit and Savings Insurance Fund of Physical Persons incurs obligations to pay insurance compensation to depositors of the bankrupt credit institution.

To date, there have been 18 insured events or forced liquidations of credit institutions, members of the Fund, including 6 banks and 12 microcredit deposit organizations (MDO), resulting in the Fund’s obligations to pay insurance compensation to depositors of the bankrupt credit institutions. At present, the insurance compensation payment process has been completed in all these credit institutions.
