The amount of insurance compensation to depositor
The balance of the deposit after payment of the reimbursement amount
Note:
1. If the total amount of all accounts (including demand, savings deposits, term deposits, and card accounts) in national currency and/or foreign currency is equal to or greater than 35,000 somoni, the amount of insurance compensation will be 35,000 somoni minus the depositor’s loan amount (if any). If the total is less than 35,000 somoni, the insurance compensation will equal the total amount of deposits and savings minus any outstanding loan amount.
2. If a depositor holds several deposit and savings accounts with a credit institution, these accounts will be considered as one savings account. Compensation will be calculated based on the total amount held in all deposit and savings accounts, not exceeding the limit specified in the first point.
3. The Fund does not reimburse interest on savings. If a bank deposit agreement includes interest capitalization, the insurance compensation will be based on the total remaining deposit amount.
4. If an insured event occurs involving multiple credit institutions where the depositor has savings, the insurance compensation will be calculated separately for each credit institution.
5. Deposits and savings held in national currency will be reimbursed in that currency. Deposits and savings held in foreign currency will be converted and reimbursed in national currency at the official exchange rate established by the National Bank of Tajikistan on the day of the insured event.
