International Cooperation
International cooperation is essential for developing mutually beneficial bilateral relationships between deposit insurance organizations across different countries, as well as fostering multilateral relations within international financial institutions. The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), established in 2002, aims to improve the effectiveness of deposit insurance systems worldwide by developing and promoting methodologies that reflect best practices, while also encouraging cooperation within the global professional community.
In this context, the Fund signs memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with deposit insurance organizations around the world, particularly with members of the Eurasian Regional Committee of IADI. These MOUs facilitate the exchange of information and the study of best practices, and they ensure the Fund’s participation in relevant international events. To strengthen the deposit insurance system in Tajikistan and enhance its capacity, the Fund actively seeks to expand effective cooperation and attract technical assistance projects from international financial organizations, including the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and others.
The Fund is an observer at the Eurasian Regional Committee (ERC) of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI). IADI serves as a platform for discussion and the exchange of experiences on crucial issues related to the development of deposit insurance systems. As a non-profit organization, IADI is based at the Bank for International Settlements and works with its members to conduct joint research and develop methodologies aimed at establishing new deposit insurance systems and enhancing existing ones.
