International Cooperation
International cooperation, through the establishment and development of mutually beneficial bilateral relations with deposit insurance organizations from different countries and multilateral relations within international financial organizations, as well as organizations that set uniform standards and norms for deposit insurance systems, such as the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), is considered one of the key areas of activity for the Deposit Insurance Fund of Tajikistan.
In the realm of international cooperation, the Fund signs memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with deposit insurance organizations around the world, particularly with members of the Eurasian Regional Committee of IADI. Through these MOUs, the Fund facilitates the exchange of information and the study of best practices, and ensures its participation in relevant international events. Additionally, to strengthen the deposit insurance system in Tajikistan and enhance its capacity, the Fund takes measures to expand effective cooperation and attract technical assistance projects from international financial organizations, including the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and others.
The Fund is an observer at the Eurasian Regional Committee (ERC) of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI).
The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) was established in 2002 to enhance the effectiveness of deposit insurance systems worldwide through the development and promotion of methodologies reflecting best global practices and fostering cooperation within the international professional community.
IADI members conduct joint research and develop methodologies for establishing new and enhancing existing deposit insurance systems. Moreover, IADI serves as a platform for discussion and exchange of experiences on the most pressing issues related to the development of deposit insurance systems.
IADI is a non-profit organization and is based at the Bank for International Settlements.
